Born and raised in Los Angeles, Alex is a proud Angeleno, activist, and community organizer.
Alex attended public school from kindergarten through 12th grade, then went on to UC San Diego, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree at nineteen. It was in high school and college that Alex became heavily involved in activism and political campaigns.
Alex has worked on campaigns at the state, local, and federal levels, focusing on crafting progressive policy. He has worked to elect candidates who support criminal justice reform, Medicare For All, and ending homelessness.
In 2018, Alex helped to lead the National School Walkout in Los Angeles, in order to advocate for common sense gun reform.
Alex co-founded the organization Survivor's Power in support of victims of sexual violence. In this role he organized the national walkout Oct12 to work to end the stigma of reporting sexual misconduct, harassment, assault, and abuse.
Alex currently serves as an Echo Park Neighborhood Councilman. On the EPNC, Alex is a member of the Ad Hoc Reimagining Public Safety Committee and co-chairs the Planning and Land Use Committee.
